Karin Bloemen takes the audience on a journey through her time machine in her entirely unique and humorous way. She lets you briefly enjoy the time before the computer and brings you back to the human scale.

Together with her fantastic four-piece band, Karin Bloemen delivers an inspiring performance. Armed against the challenges of our time and with a big smile on their faces, the audience returns to the 21st century.

After the extensive celebration of her 40th anniversary in the theater in 2023, Karin made a special journey to the south of Chile in early 2024, a very sparsely populated area with abundant natural beauty. It was an overwhelming experience, in which it seemed as if she had been transported back about fifty years in time by a time machine; not stressed people living on their mobile phones everywhere, but people who have time and hold real conversations with one another.

That intense feeling of a more natural pace of life, which we have long since lost here, acted as a huge mirror and led her to the simple conclusion: we need a new renaissance! Just as the Renaissance drew inspiration from the time of the Greeks and Romans after the Dark Ages, we now once again need inspiration from the past to struggle our way out of the dark times we are currently in. And fifty years ago just happens to be the 70s; freedom, creativity, and the most fantastic music!
