Daan van der Hoeven has his life in order. By his standards. He is no longer so depressed, actually gets out of bed in the morning, and seems to be quite happy every now and then. But how do you do that—just being a little happy—when you have to reinvent yourself time and again?

In ‘Mensenmens’, Daan van der Hoeven takes you on a humorous and sharp quest for self-knowledge. Through relatable and personal stories, he shows how we think we finally understand ourselves, only to discover later that we are back to square one. Or as ChatGPT says: “Life is not a puzzle you solve, but a game you play.” Wouldn’t that be the essence of life?
