In ‘SLOOPKOGEL’ Stefan tries to understand himself, but as it often goes with men whose inner compass is structurally set to panic, he mostly destroys everything he encounters along the way. His relationships, his ego, his interior, and at times also his moral convictions.

Self-reflection turns out for Stefan to be no calm diary moment with herbal tea, but a crash test without a seatbelt. Every attempt at growth ends in wreckage, followed by the sincere conclusion: “Interesting… this went differently than planned.”

With a ruthless honesty and a timing that you only appreciate when it’s already too late, Stefan takes you through painful childhood memories, failed conversations with therapists (“So you’re basically saying that I’m the problem?”) and life lessons that he invariably learns at the moment when they are no longer useful.

Meanwhile, he tries to become an adult, which mainly involves consulting Google with questions like: When do you know your feelings are real? and Is this still character or already a disorder?

‘DEMOLITION BULLET’ is raw, painfully relatable, and violently funny. It’s a performance about trying, failing, and trying again, but just a bit harder than necessary. About a man who wants to fix himself with a hammer and then wonders why it keeps bleeding. You laugh, you cringe, and sometimes you do both at the same time. Because if Stefan proves one thing, it’s this: self-reflection is beautiful, but chaos makes it truly entertaining.

Stefan wisselt moeiteloos van karakter en houdt de lachers voortdurend op zijn hand.
