Following the great success of ‘The New Diamonds – The Story of the Blue Diamonds’, Patrick Drabe and Steffen de Wolff return to the theater with a new chapter: Part 2. What began as a one-off tribute grew into a successful theater tour full of nostalgia, emotion, and timeless music. After all, the story of The Blue Diamonds is far from over.

The origins of this show lie with the legendary duo Ruud and Riem de Wolff, better known as The Blue Diamonds. In the 1960s, they conquered the charts worldwide with classics such as Ramona. They performed in sold-out venues and stadiums in Indonesia, Scandinavia, Australia, and Central America, among other places. Although their popularity in Europe later declined due to the rise of bands like The Beatles, they remained major stars in the Far East.

After Ruud's passing in 2000, Riem continued with music, with the support of fellow artists and his son Steffen de Wolff. Under the name The New Diamonds, the album Out Of The Blue was released in 2001, produced by Patrick Drabe. Riem continued to perform – solo and with The New Diamonds – until his passing in 2017.

In 2023, The New Diamonds paid a successful tribute to Ruud and Riem at De Doelen in Rotterdam. The enthusiastic audience reactions led to a theatre production, and now to Part 2.

‘The New Diamonds – The Story of the Blue Diamonds Part 2’ is a musical sequel full of familiar tunes as well as new stories. Naturally, the greatest hits will be played, but new songs and personal memories also find a place. For behind every song lies a special story.

With this performance, Steffen de Wolff and Patrick Drabe keep the musical legacy of The Blue Diamonds very much alive. Expect a warm, nostalgic theatre evening full of familiar melodies, special anecdotes, and timeless music.
