Damn, honey

Marie Lotte Hagen and Nydia van Voorthuizen, sultry voices behind the feminist podcast DAMN, HONEY, have just one tiny little wish: equality for everyone. But in a world where the call for equality is often stifled, drowned out, and mocked, it can be quite a challenge to keep the courage up.

Marie Lotte and Nydia are boldly moving forward in their quest for answers to the questions we all recognize, with their characteristic mix of humor, self-deprecation, and the desire to change things. How do you stay optimistic when one miserable news story after another pops up on your phone? Where do you find the fighting spirit when you feel like no one is listening? How do you keep your courage when you are actively opposed?

Ideally, they would say: ‘Courage Forward is more than a theater performance. It is a call to action! A movement! A motto for life!’ But yes, that sounds far too grand, so they won’t say that. They do promise to send you out of the room with a smile and renewed fighting spirit. Because progress is not only possible but necessary.

A performance for people who have been on the barricades for years, but also for anyone who would like to do something, but doesn’t know where to start or finds it still (too) daunting. Marie Lotte and Nydia are there to encourage you with every step you take.
